OVER 20,000 RESCUED FROM BOKO HARAM CAPTIVITY – TUKUR BURATAI.

Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, the Chief of Army Staff on Saturday stated that the military had so far rescued more than 20,000 people abducted by Boko Haram insurgents.
Buratai said this during the inauguration of the Nigerian Army Officers Wife Association’s Day Care, Nursery and Primary School at Ribadu Cantonment in Kaduna.
He stated that the Nigerian military remain committed to rescuing those who have been kidnapped by the group and also wiping them out completely.
He frowned on Nigerians who have been making calls for the administration to negotiate with the insurgents.
He called on well-meaning Nigerians to help with information that could help in the rescue of others and said that even if the Federal Government moved to negotiate with the terrorists, it won’t stop military operations.
He stated that rescue operations will carry on as far as the military is concerned.

Buratai had earlier visited the headquarters of One Division, Nigerian Army, Kaduna, and had a meeting with the officers of the division.
